Our Spiritual Leaders

Our Spiritual Leaders are a dedicated team of Year 6 students elected to reflect on, nurture, and develop the spiritual life of Wittersham School. This group plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the Christian values at the heart of our school are lived out and celebrated across the school community.

The Spiritual Leaders meet regularly with a member of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss the liturgical season, exploring how it can be reflected in the life of the school. Together, they work to develop and enhance collective worship and prayer, ensuring that it resonates with students and supports their spiritual growth. Throughout the year, they lead key events, such as our whole school faith days and services at St John the Baptist Church, creating opportunities for all students to engage in meaningful reflection and worship.

In addition to the Spiritual Leaders, we have a Worship Leader who supports the daily implementation of worship in the school. The Worship Leader works closely with the Spiritual Leaders and staff to ensure that worship is impactful, inclusive, and relevant to the children’s lives. They play an essential role in encouraging students to commit to our Christian ethos, helping them to understand and embody its moral messages in their daily lives. Through their leadership, the Worship and Spiritual Leaders foster a reflective and spiritually enriching environment where everyone can grow in faith, compassion, and understanding.

Together, the Spiritual Leaders and Worship Leaders help to create a school culture that is centered on reflection, kindness, and a commitment to living out Christian values in both word and action.

This year, our Spiritual Leaders are Cody and Phoebe.
