Pupil Leadership
Leadership at Wittersham Church of England Primary School is at the heart of our vision to nurture confident, responsible, and compassionate individuals who contribute positively to our school community. We are committed to ensuring that all pupils are empowered to play an active and impactful role in school life.
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to lead an initiative or hold a position of responsibility that makes a meaningful difference to the whole school. To achieve this, we provide a variety of leadership roles, from School Council representatives and Eco Leaders to Digital Leaders and Spiritual Leaders, ensuring that each role aligns with our school values of courage, cooperation, and compassion.
As part of our commitment to fostering a sense of democracy and shared responsibility, our school community participates in voting for peers they believe will excel in these roles. This democratic process not only reinforces the importance of making thoughtful decisions but also encourages children to develop leadership skills, confidence, and accountability. By giving pupils the opportunity to lead, we prepare them to be active citizens, both within our school and in the wider world, ensuring that they grow into individuals who can inspire and effect positive change.
